Partner program terms

Last updated: August 10, 2026

The short version: 20% of every subscription payment your referrals make, for 12 months from their first payment, payable 30 days after each payment clears, withdrawable from $20.00. The rest of this page is what happens around that.

01What this is

These terms govern the naive partner program. They apply from the moment we approve your application, and they are the whole of the agreement between you and naive about the program — anything said in an email, a call or a direct message is background, not a term.

Where these terms say “we” or “naive”, they mean the company operating the naive product. Where they say “you”, they mean the person or business whose name is on the approved application.

02Who can join

You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract where you live, and able to receive payment through one of the methods below. We approve applications one by one and we are allowed to say no without giving a reason.

One partner account per person or business. Running several accounts to route your own traffic through more than one link is grounds for termination.

03Your link and how a referral is credited

On approval you get a referral code and a link. When someone opens your link we store the code in a cookie in their browser for 30 days. If they create a naive account within that window, the signup is credited to you.

Attribution is last click. If someone opens your link and then opens a different partner's link before signing up, the newer link wins and the referral is theirs. Cookies are a browser thing: if the person clears them, uses a different device, or signs up more than 30 days later, we have no way to see your code and the referral cannot be credited.

04What you earn

You earn 20% of every subscription payment a customer you referred makes to naive, for 12 monthsstarting from that customer's first payment. It is not a one-time bounty: every month they stay subscribed inside that window, you earn again.

Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid, after any discount the customer used. All amounts are in US dollars.

05What does not earn commission

Only subscription payments are commissionable. Credit top-ups, domain purchases, and other one-off charges are not, no matter how large they are or who referred the account.

Payments made after the 12-month window closes do not earn commission, and neither do payments on your own account or on an account you control.

06When commission becomes payable

Commission is recorded as soon as the customer's payment succeeds, and becomes payable 30 days after that payment clears. Until then it shows in your dashboard as pending. The hold is our window for refunds, chargebacks and failed payments; it is what stops us paying out on money that later goes back to the customer.

Your dashboard separates the two figures at all times, so you can always see what is pending and what you can withdraw today.

07Getting paid

Payouts are on request, not on a schedule. Once your available balance reaches $20.00 you can request it from your dashboard, and a request claims your whole available balance at that moment.

We pay by Wise or PayPal, in US dollars, to the details you give us with the request — getting those details right is on you, and we cannot recover a payment sent to an account you named incorrectly. Payouts are made by hand, so allow a few working days. When one is sent we mark it paid and attach the receipt to the request.

Any fee your payment provider charges, and any currency conversion on their side, comes out of the amount sent.

08How you may talk about naive

Describe naive accurately and describe it as you found it. You may use the naive name to say that you are a partner and to point people at the product; you may not present yourself as naive, as someone who works for naive, or as speaking for us.

Where the platform you post on requires you to disclose a paid or commissioned relationship, disclose it. That is your obligation, not ours, and it is also the law in several places we both operate in.

09What is not allowed

Do not do any of the following:

  • Refer yourself — using your own link for your own account, a second account you control, or an account you were going to open anyway.
  • Bid on naive brand terms in paid search, or run ads that could be mistaken for ours.
  • Spam. Unsolicited email or DMs, comment stuffing, coupon and cashback injection, or traffic bought from a network that does either.
  • Misrepresent the product: features it does not have, prices we do not charge, results we have never promised, or a partnership that does not exist.
  • Register domains, handles or app names that contain or imitate the naive name, or build a page that copies ours.

If you do, we may terminate your participation immediately and withhold any commission connected to it, including commission already accrued but not yet paid. Where the breach affects only some referrals we will normally void only those, but we do not have to.

10Changes, suspension and ending the program

We may change these terms or the program — including the commission rate, the windows, and the payout minimum — with notice by email to the address on your partner account. Changes apply to referrals credited after the notice; a rate change does not reach back into commission you have already earned.

Either of us may end the partnership at any time, for any reason, with notice. Except in the case of a breach described above, commission you have already accrued when the program or your participation ends is still paid, on the same hold and the same minimum. Your link stops crediting new referrals from the moment it ends.

11You do not work for us

You take part as an independent contractor. Nothing here creates employment, a partnership, an agency or a joint venture, and neither of us can enter an obligation in the other's name.

You are responsible for your own taxes on anything you earn here, and for any registration or reporting your country requires. We do not withhold tax, and we may ask you for the tax information we need to pay you lawfully before we send a payout.

12Liability

The program is provided as it is. We do not promise that your link will earn anything, and projections, examples or figures shown anywhere are illustrations rather than commitments.

Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost opportunity. Our total liability to you in connection with the program is limited to the commission payable to you at the time the claim arises.

13Governing law

TO BE CONFIRMED. The governing law and the venue for disputes have not been settled yet, and we will not name one here before they are. This section will be filled in and the date at the top of the page updated when it is.
